I think that it is because most red-heads are actually...orange. But then sometimes orange goes with pink. My philosophy is it depends on the individual. Ariel is one of them.

2: my lifelong sentiment on this dress is this: [link] , but she really is adoreable. She's only sixteen(for serious), so she's allowed ot make bad style judgements. Out of all the redheads in the world, she's the only one who could rock that dress. And I'm forever stealing 'costume powerups' now.

I cannot understand this idea that red doesn't go with light red, but then I also think that most such notions are superficial and transitory, which is probably why people look at me funny when I leave my house.

Regardless, this dress is beautiful and Ariel is beautiful and Ariel is beautiful in this dress and I cannot be persuaded otherwise.

I can tell you at least, three red heads who look super stunning in pink. Telling a girl she can't wear a colour for her whole life just because it doesn't match her hair is the most stupid thing I've heard xD.

The point in the movie where Belle gets the golden dress. That. Before: blue cotton and an apron. After: She'a a princess. Cinderella-fairy godmother. Sleeping beauty- Briar Rose to Aurora. Princess and the Frog- there are like, 3. But this above is definitely Ariel's first Costume Powerup.
