I like his face. Something non-trivial. And the framing of the shot gives it something of old photography somehow.

So, may I ask what program you use to create the UV mapping? I've tried several (UVMapper, Hexagon, Blender) but I just don't understand it. I've only been slightly successful with creating UVmaps of the more basic modeled stuff I've made (crowns, jars, vases, etc).
Nice, simple scene which are always nice to do and I love those pants. Very nice creation, Juliana.

I use D3D UV-Viewer. I downloaded it a long time ago in the old daz forum. Someone put a link there. I don´t remember the site with 100% sure, but I think it was here:
This old Dimension 3D freebie. -> d3d.sesseler.de/index.php?soft…
And while looking for the link, I accidentally found this product: www.daz3d.com/uv-tailor
But I have no idea if it's good.
The D3D UV-Viewer I only use for the clothes I make in MD. If it's a prop I usually use Blender. In that case I use an option there that is something like "smart uv", but the result is not perfect. It's fast and easy ... but with many flaws. In that case I fix the problems during postwork.
About Hexagon, I don't understand how to create the UV there. I spent some time trying to learn, but I never understood.
Hope this help you, Glen! And thank you very much!!

Thank you for the response, Juliana. I'm actually trying to figure out how to set up UV maps. I have Stitch Witch which does an excellent job of pulling the UV map from the model, but I don't know how to set up the seams and such of a 3d model. For example if you create a set of pants in Marvelous Designer, does it auto create a UV map for you or do you set up the seams in another program so the outfit can be textured? I'm not sure if I'm even asking correctly/saying the correct terms. lol

Hey Glen! Sorry for the delay to answer you. In MD the clothes already comes with UV. As in the wip image:
The UV is exactly the same as the templates that appear in the 2D window.
So I can use any shader that it will work without problem. I normally use shaders on the clothes i create on MD. The top of Erúadan´s pants, for example, I created the texture in photoshop (dif, bump and norm.) and saved as a shader.
(you can use, if you want. ^^)
If I want to add a different detail in the texture as in this image here: (it's pretty old)
There are little flowers decorating the dress.
So I use the D3D UV-Viewer to extract the UV from the garment (because it doesn´t come separately, if there is any options there I don´t know where it is. ^^' ) And then I open photoshop and make the texture using the UV.
Is that what you want to know? If I got it wrong, feel free to ask !!

Yes, that definitely answers my question. It's nice to know MD sets up the UVs for you so all you have to do is extract them to your fave program and texture them if you want.
