If a part of a dForce cloth goes through a prop, it's often because this prop has to low poly count. So, dForce doesn't notice the mesh. Helpful is a plane with 500 - 1000 divisions which you put just before the Window. (or other prop). Delete (or hide) it after simulation..
If you simulate with animation, sometimes it helps if you move the char a bit back, just before you start the simulation.
Great image, by the way. It caoptures fantastically the mood of the moment.

Their expressions are perfect, Juli. I love the rather dire look of the ladies and Diandra looking away, almost as if she doesn't want to believe what she's hearing and feeling. Having to accept the truth and such.
Sorry to hear about the dForce issues, it happens from time to time, but I rarely start in memorized pose. I find that sometimes it's best to put the figure in a starting pose where the arms/shoulders are a little more forward so they are away from the dress/outfit. Doesn't always work, but I usually have less issues with long draped sleeves making a mess of things.

Well, I'm stuck on DAZ 4.10 so the crappy dForce hair doesn't affect me at all. About the only dForce hair item I even remotely like is the little Oso Dragon recently released but I'm unable to use it so no loss for me.

Beautiful picture once again, with great expressions, poses, lighting and etc.
Does the window was included in the simulation and the sleeve got stuck in it ?
Or was it not included and the sleeve was simply going through it ?

If it got stuck in the window, I'm not sure you would have had much more solutions than what you did. Reducing the "friction" maybe ?
"I had to leave the window and wall invisible so that the sleeve came down and stayed in the right position."
Do you know that you can disable an object to be part of the simulation without hiding it ?
You just have to select it, go in the "Display" tab and put "Visible in Simulation" on "Off".
I do that on the teeth, tongue, eyes (eyelashes too) and sometimes on the complete face on my characters, to gain speed during simulations.

Ahw... you really love to get Diandra into trouble. And yes... dForce is EVIL! (but not as evil as LAMH...) mwhahahaha... but very nice lighting through the window, too.

Things in daz could often be a pain in the ass. .. Nevertheless, This image is beautifully done and I could guess what is happening even before I read the text!
