Description As usual, I encourage comments and observations! What I'm most interested in is how you see this image, what it makes you feel, think, etc. (of course, if you find it interesting and worthy).
(I have a feeling that I might regret having said that.)

FAQ:
1. Why is there a shadow cast onto the wall (girl and umbrella)?
Because the frame contains a painting, not a window. Considering how the girl and the whole interior are lit, there must be a shadow cast in that area. The ocean doesn't enter the room from behind the wall, but it's coming alive from the picture.

2. Why the clouds on the wallpaper?
It's my way of suggesting the blending of the two spaces: the inside and the outside (the real world and the imaginated or summoned world).

3. Why does the wave coming from the frame looks weird/flat/isn't flowing normally?
My intention was to suggest a mix of how the water flows and how the canvas would drop over the edge of the frame (and bend under the floor edge). I worked for hours on that part and that's what I came with, I know it's not perfect, my skills are limited... If you can suggest a solution, you are welcome to.

Added this to my favorites years ago. Just now seeing again, and I had to stop by and say I still love this image as much now as the first time I saw it.

Surrealsim is something that really inspires me.. Not on my deviations (so far) but in my mind and I'm getting more insoiration from. This pictures is one of the best I've seen and I got so amazed about the whole idea!!
I really like the water on the floor!! It makes you feel that the ocean is "visiting" you, which is very surrealistic~~

Very nice manip'!!! I like the clean look of it, no unecessary texture or stock. Despite your explanations I personnally don't like very much the clouds on the wallpaper, maybe because they are below the water surface/ horizon suggested by the painting... For me, the "Rain spell" have failed It looks like she misspoken one magic word and water is coming but not the intended way

I really like that image. What I find interesting about it is how the realistic part - the lady (I just assume that it is a photo) - blends into the comic like surrounding. I'm not quite sure about the colours you used. However, I couldn't think of any better choice than the one you made. The colours are really snappy, yet they are far away from being cheesy. Also, the image has little details that appeal to me. I.e. what are those dark spots on the left side of the wall?
Furthermore, I guess there is no sense in telling you how technically perfect that photo is, since you probably know it best.
Just keep up that great work!
