I wore S.T.A.R.S yoko at PMX this weekend~! This costume actually has a bit of story behind it and a lot of feelsThis was actually a dream cosplay of mine for a very long time - as soon as I saw the S.T.A.R.S video i wanted to do it.Β
When I first saw the video I was overweight and knew I could never, ever pull of a costume made of small amounts of tight vinyl. At the time I felt like I was just kind of stuck being a fatty for the rest of my life, so I dropped the idea of ever doing this outfit (or anything like it.) I eventually kicked my ass in to gear (and learned to sew somewhere along the way) and 70lbs and a lot of boosted self-esteem later, ive finally made the outfit!
Unfortunatly its not 100% finished - I havent been able to find large enough metal stars for the shorts yet, and in my rush to get to the con forgot my fishnets/headband, but WHATEVER NOTHING COULD HAVE STOPPED ME FROM FINALLY WEARING IT.

It's so great to hear all of that! I love hearing success stories like this, especially if it means to break out of confines and into a more empowering person! You really pull of the outfit, both in body and it seams attitude. I hope I get to see a few more shots of this when you're done with it all ^_^
Currently, cosplay is also driving me to work out more and finally get that flat stomach I've always dreamed about. And look out cosplay world when that happens! I'm going to be doing all the cosplays with a belly showing XD This really helps to hear your story! It's keeping me motivated
