!!!! XDyea this is my entry as you can see, first time finishing a lineless painting!! : D
It was super fun, I discovered that without lines, I am not restricted to only a certain thing, that means I could easily take out put in things that I think up in the middle of painting. btw, I added the thick dark lines after i painted everything else
... Well, I tried to stick some sybolism in there XD
Plus, since I couldn't recreate the fire, I just cut up the fire circle that the contest provided and stuck them in there XD, I used their background too, and the logo obivously
oh, and I am pretty obsessed with amaterasu these days, I have been doodling her at school a lot XD she is pretty!!
sooo, I don't feel like this picture is complete yet, but I just couldn't think of what else to do... so it's gonna stay like this for now, until I think of some thing I gues...

Omg, I put up the higher resolution version for the judging, and it is toooo big for viewing.. I don't know how to turn it smaller...

First up, love the painting; clean, smooth and is incredibly soothing to stare at. Even though I don't comprehend half of the symbolic features, it does give the work more meaning; I particularly like the leaf. Anyway, awesome work! ^^

well the blue orb and the leaf is supposed to be earth, and with the hair spread around it, it's like amaterasu is protecting earth. so that's where I got my title =3
it took me soo many tries to paint something in the middle of the picture, beucause I couldn't decide on what to draw to represent earth and stuff, I tried water blobbs and the leaf floating on water... but they didn't look right XD
sooo I finaly came up with the idea about the orb, and stuck with it : D

I reckon it was a good decision to stick with the orb; simply 'cause it looks awesome! Ah, thanks for the explanation on the symbols -- since everything is cleared now, I can finally say: it's a fantastic concept, and of course, backed up with skills too. So great work! ^^
