Description The first photo in a series I shot a few weeks ago; I've finally gotten around to processing them, as I wasn't quite sure where I wanted to go with it. The full series will be in my online portfolio once I've finished putting it together - I'll edit this deviation with a link when it's ready.

My idea behind the shoot was blending in with nature and cohabiting peacefully with the local wildlife that I find a lot of people are far too quick to destroy.

Shot at the Middlesex Fells in Medford, MA.

okai. first, kwb would say to crop off that little tree in the top right hand corner haha.

anyway, i think if your idea is to blend in with nature, then maybe making your frame wider. i realize that this might not be easy with one person, but maybe something not as close up on you and tree. right now i focus on you, not you blending in.

on a rather playful note, you could be peeping around the tree, enough to know that you are there, but not too much as to make the viewer think that you are being intrusive (considering the theme of this photoshoot).

maybs through in some green clothes, im not sure how much you want to blend in lol, but its something else to think about. i know that we all just have these SUPER busy schedules to attain to during the summer haha

Haha yes you are definitely right about the tree, now that I look at it XD

Green clothes is a good idea, I might be able to reshoot a bit. It was a spur of the moment idea (my original intention had just been to practice with my lenses on a few plants, and then I was all, OHEY.)and I was wearing brown, but I know I'll have more time before we go back to school to shoot so I'll totally go and play around with some more colors. I think a few of my other shots fit what you're getting at better: I'm in the shot, but out of focus, and then I have a few accompanying ones that are just the landscape.

Thanks for the pointers, yo!
