I made a couple drawings for prizes at this convention I'm going to this weekend-->[link] This is the prize for the art contest.

Here's an animation of what I did-->[link] although there was a secondary sketch in there that I didn't include because I forgot to before I inked it. What I do is print out a perspective grid and draw over that with a super-messy sketch, then lightbox it for a tighter, lighter sketch to be inked over.

I used copic markers and multiliners, and a white gel pen for corrections.

In case you're curious about the marker colors, for white skin I suggest E00 as the main color, E000 for lighter spots, and YR00 for darker spots. And I use B91 to shade white. It's a grayish-blue color. I need to get more tan colors, though. I have lots of browns, but only one tan. In my opinion, getting skin tones and natural colors matters most, after that if you just have three other markers you can still make a drawing look good. I also recommend a good blue color for shading. Just a medium-blue color is great for shading dark red, green, purply stuff, and hey, even brown! It's the miracle worker.

I've found so far that the best paper for me is color copy paper, the smoother the better. Cardstock soaks all the colors in so it doesn't mix as well and things can get too dark too quickly. But Copics seem to blend really well and look smoother when used on color copy paper. And I photocopy my lineart to color it, since Copic Markers do mix with Multiliners, but not with toner.

EDIT: Lol I just noticed that I must've been having an unintentional Escher moment. She's at the middle of the desk as she leans over it, but I made the table legs too short so it looks like the bottom of her chair is on the left side of the table!
