for mantis contestmantis only come around in very late summer here and are very very hard to find unless you hang out in the tall flower fields for hours in the 100 degree heat... luckily, I did find one last year and tucked away some photographs. I cropped him into a square to get rid of all the brown dead plants sticking out in the background. ^^
