Say hello to my wayfarer. I have a thing about swords and I love Journey in all its gorgeous beauty and symbolism. So light of actually seeing concept art of a wayfarer with a sword (or staff not really sure) I thought about this guy.

Here's a little bio on him.

Xiarte
Background : Xiarte started off like the many other wayfarer's; a lone red cloak in the desert of his ruined world. His first Journey he took by himself and everything was steady until he hit the underground. In his run in with a rather aggressive Guardian he was left with a permanent tear in his cloak. The wayfarer had a bit of a grudge against the flying mechs after that. After his first Journey ended he returned later and came in contact with a white cloak his second go around, this cloak was knowledgeable like many of his kind are and showed Xiarte many secrets from glyphs to history of their world that he had not known about. When they reached the underground the white cloak became more excited the closer they got to the Guardians lair, and on reaching the first one the white cloak charged at it and smashed into the Guardians side leaving a sizable crack in it before it flew off while white spun away and landed without a speck of cloth lost. Xiarte nearly went into shock at that show of power as white simply shook it off, chipped, and continued on. At the end of that journey Xiarte gained his own white cloak an wished his mentor farewell as his light returned to another part of the desert. With his new found power he returned to the underground and faced the Guardians once more and just like the white cloak before him smashed into the first Guardians side, but this time he broke off a peice from its armor; A long thin peace with a strange cloth attached to it. After that Xiarte gained far more courage in facing the journey and now uses his new weapon to fend off Guardians and protect wayfarer's that he comes across just at the other wayfarer, his mentor, did for him, and also he's never been hit by a Guardian again.

Personality: Charismatic, kind, energetic, reflective on nature.Though Xiarte is a white cloak he's still lacking plenty of knowledge, being headstrong when facing danger and not knowing many of the hidden ways (glitches). Despite that he has no problem taking the time to enjoy his surroundings if given the chance and mediates many high and unique places.

Likes: Messing with and fighting Guardians. Other wayfarers. Helping others. His sword: Guardians might. Switching back and forth from being a red to white cloak to test his ability and skills in both forms.

Dislike: Being fearful. Hasty partners. Evil wayfarers.

Power: He is a basic white cloak but his sword makes him unique based on how he uses it.

Guardians Might: A sword made form a Guardians armor and reinforced with black rock from the mountain and can be held by scarf or cloak. It has a small strange cloth scarf attached and wrapped around it that changes cloak type independent of the wayfarer leading to different combat styles depending on combination:

Red: basic quick style

White: heavy high power style

Red cloak white sword: rapid quick style

White cloak red sword: heavy power style
