There's no doubt about it, Gatomon is one of the more or so popular digimon around. Mainly because she was a cute little cat who turned into an attractive angel lady. She stayed at the top untill Renamon came along. What happens to her now? We have but to wait and see.Related content

Isn't the digi-evolution of Angewomon Ophanimon? I really thought so coz of the Frontiers season

No mistake. Gatomon can become Magnadramon or Ophanimon.
Think of it like how Myotismon can become either VenomMyotismon or MaloMyotismon when he reaches Mega. There's often more than one possibility.

Wow... So that's her Mega form... Where did you find their Mega forms if they never digivolved into them in the show?
Ya know what really bugs me? Whenever Agumon or the horned tiger Digimon would digivolve, to mega, they would always warp digivolve from their rookie forms, never from Ultimate to Mega. One time they had Agumon De-Digivolve from Ultimate JUST so he would have to warp-Digivolve. It's like they were avoiding Ultimates Digivolving into Megas. I COULDN'T STAND IT!!!!!!!!!!! *heavy breathing*

If you have ever seen the digimon movie, then you will see Angewomon digivolve to mega from ultimate and also in the first Digimon Battle Arena game released in the UK that I managed to get playing, Gatomon just digivolves straight to Magnadramon.
(Angemon also Warp Digivolves to Seraphimon, his own mega form in th movie that the same time so they can release the Two Golden Digi-Eggs)

Ophanimon is just one of Gatomon's possible Mega levels. Turns out she has at least 3; Magnadramon is her Holy Dragon form, and one of the 4 Great Dragons.
Ophanimon is another variation, similar to Seraphimon, Patamon's Mega form and MagnaAngemon's final digivolution. They would be know as the Holy Knights of the Digital World, so to speak.
Ophanimon also appeared in a lot of the Digimon Games, as I recall, but I am still unsure of the consequences in the Manga/Anime really.
And of course there is the possibility of Digivolving to MarineAngemon as well.
