Since I haven't posted anything in awhile, I thought I would post this pencil portrait I did of John Lennon a while ago. The reference was a screen cap from A Hard Day's Night. I always loved this scene with John. Once again, my scanner read the texture of the paper more than the soft shading, so it looks a little rough. Looking at this drawing makes me sad sometimes. I'm a huge Beatles fan and I still remember the day he was killed like it was yesterday. And then the loss of George.....yeah, I'm a sentimental sap. Well I hope you like the drawing.Related content

wasn't alive for John, which made him more of a legend in my eyes, and i was to young for george...the only reason i cried was because my sister was crying, so i knew that something bad happened...amazing man, though. and great picture!!!looks so realistic!

This picture still just blows me away. His eyes are so deep. And I know how you feel-- I was born 13 years after his death and I STILL cry about it sometimes. He will live on in us forever.
