"Alice at the Hat House"

This is my submission for Digressions 2010. It is called "Alice at the Hat House". This piece is multi media and a combination of Pencil drawing with Microsoft paint and Adobe Photoshop. I also submitted a poem to go with this image.

"Alice"

A girl that is sad
A girl that is mad
A girl whom is ashamed
Is society to blame?
Inside her head
All she see’s are meadows
Colored red
What was that?
Where is that mangy cat?
As she sits at a tabled
Tea party
Feeling a mood of
Uncertainty
She takes a bite of cake
That is full of
Rot
Spits it out and begins to say
“Me think me nots”
No one can her
As the volume of the noise
Becomes louder
She begins to cry
But, Wait!
No one is sadder than the
Mad Hatter
She holds a basket of ripe
Juicy carrots
Where, oh where is that rabbit?
No one can explain
Her mind of Malice
But, one thing we do
Know about her
Is that her name is
Alice
