That's basically where you play as different characters and make a story together, here's an example from mine and a friend of mines Lion King roleplay. He's playing Kojo and Kovu and I play Kiara and Makini.
Kojo: Haha, yeah but can you blame him. Id be whiny too if I had to stay in here for as long as he has. *He then saw Kiara giggling as Makini went to tell Kovu something. He cocked his head in confusion* Did I miss something?
- Kovu: *Outside as Kovu was laying with Nala he heard Makini approaching them. He playfully joked saying* Man, I can't even go a few feet away from the cave without her worrying about me, Haha
- Kiara: * smiled at Kojo* no, nothing, I was just laughing at what she said about Kovu being whiny.
- Makini: * ruffled Kovu's mane.* oh shush! I wasn't coming here to worry about you, I forgot to tell you. * she smiled as she sat down * Rafiki told me to give you a message.
