Leo huffed as he made his way to karin through the many vines. Blood dripped down from the many cuts the thorns had caused. The flowers hovered above the two watching as he slowly made his way to the girl. It wouldn't have bothered him if these flowers weren't the ones trying to kill them and use their corpses as a food source. Leo muttered curses as more wounds were made. The only wound that wasn't caused by the thorns was the one on his chest, the wound had been caused by a blade. The wound wasn't deep but it didn't stop the blood pouring out. "Ali- K-karin!" He cried out to her. He didn't get a response and it scared him. 'Don't..don't be dead..please.'

"You can't protect her forever. You could hardly protect her before." A voice whispered in his ear. Leo hissed at the voice and continued on till he was in front of her. He got hold of a vine and did his best to untangle karin from their hold. "L-leo?" she mumbled looking up at him. "Are you okay!?" he asked. "I..i can't see." she mumbled. "That's only temporary. You'll be able to see again in a few hours." The flowers pollen could cause a person to be blinded temporarily and the vines would trap a person in their hold and would either suffocate or starve to death. "You're going to bleed out before you can save her." Another voice whispered. Leo growled in frustration the vines no matter how much he tried would just rewrap themselves. "But before that we'll make sure that you watch her suffocate before you do." Having remembered the dagger in his boot he quickly took the blade out and began cutting up the plants.
