while i was shooting my latest water-fruit i met the evil water ghost.He is very shy but he can turn your water into an ugly green slime - so be careful, don't make him angry...

used blue ink in a fishtank.
postprocessing: gradiation curve, toned, resized and framed.

How did you deal with the glare from the glass and the reflection? I've tried this, with a fish tank, though it was a small fish bowl really, and it was hard to get the camera to actually focus on the ink in the jar then the glass. I'm pretty new to photography so anything would help. Great job on this too, it looks really great!

I have to admit, this is the absolute first of your shots that I've noticed as being a bit cliched. Of course, it's simply my own opinion, but I have seen this before and I've learned to expect very high standards from you.
My question, though, is that if you used blue ink, how did it turn green in the water? The hue is really wonderful - reminds me of seaweed or incense.
If you look closely, on the left and in the middle you can see two abstract faces and vague bodies attached, just floating there in the water. I guess there really is some evil water ghost here, heh.

i used blue ink - but then i toned it in photoshop because green looks much better for a water ghost
so it's no trick but simple photoshop...

This is very remeniscent of cigarette smoke. Almost looks like a negated version of a cloud, really.In fact, that's what I thought it was. I wonder how it would compare? Either way, nice capture.
