I am honestly very happy with how this turned out. I turned a pretty simple graphical style, with only 3 colours, into something that's pretty adorable in my opinion.
Pikachu is the most loyal side kick in gaming history. You take him through mountains, lakes and oceans, and he never leaves your side. He even helps you overthrow Team Rocket. Sure, Heart Gold and Soul Silver allowed for any PokΓ©mon to follow you, but you just know you all really remember good ol' Pikachu the most.
So yeah, Pikachu is one of my favourite video game sidekicks. Who'da thunk it?

You did a great job capturing the simple graphics of the Gameboy sprites and making them three-dimensional. Though the trainer is arguably the sidekick, he doesn't even fight.

Yeah, the good times, like when you first got him and it looked like he wanted to shock you dead, when you completed the first gym, that Clefairy he fell in love with and so on.
