Aah, I was really glad when I saw you submitted a pice. It's been a while, hasn't it? ^^ This is amazing as usual, didn't expect less. I'm in love with how well that green goes with the yellow/ orange tones. The details on the umbrella and crown ( is it called crown?) are also impressive. I figure it would take me months to finish something like this so I can't help but wonder how much time you spend on your pictures. Thank you for the eye candy once again! XD

Very nice to see you continue to use your more "focused approach" with your art-style via restrained colour scheme & thematic content. Such helps all the oranges and its fiery gradations to shimmer with both lush colour tones and energy; the heat (impression) "felt" is both softly warm yet full of gravity. The technical working of Copics to create concrete textures and even patterned fabric (as seen in the bloke's main outfit) is amazing as ever.
But what really catches my eye, what I consider the highest point is your surreal working of forms, how the orange matter is in a constant state of metamorphosis and search of identity, either liquid amorphous matter, fleshy flowers or namesake Monarch butterflies; some sections have all 3 of them inter-mingling at the same time. The varying degree of its' materializing only adds more surreal emphasis. And in addition, the headdress is a nice fusion of various symbols and sensibilities both Pop-culture and Traditional. The main shape & decor also brings to mind the headdress of the Hmong or Tibeto-Burman(?) people if nothing else, the lotus adds that final East Asian touch seen mostly in Dharmic/Buddhist art with a organic touch alongside all the metallic intricacy.
Your works continue to amaze both technically and creatively.

And I love how you see the "orange matter" and the headdress. It is absolutely a collection of pop culture symbols and traditional asian motifs! Haha it does give off a Tibetan air so I can see how you referenced that.

I always have a great time studying your artworks; your hand with expressing various fabrics, textures in tandem with how you draw characters, youthful & full of life always is always mindblowing. And yes, that amorphous nature of forms and that small Tibetan(?) (or Hmong) touch is what makes this special, also helps one to search more about other cultures as well.

Kimono was done by dabbing Copic Various Ink on the marker (basically the raw marker ink) to create a blotch-like effect, similar to the one you'd get by adding water to watercolor.
