looks like lucida grande on the apps, and monospace
chat font looks like Menlo (the asterisk is vertically
centered as-per the text), menlo is basically dejavu sans mono
w/ some 'improvements' from apple making it more suitable
for coding.

Icons in the nicklist are default oxygen, the other icons seem
to be faenza or some such... not sure, I run an (runtime) algorithm
on the toolbutton icons to make them appear monochrome.

well... there are several themes at work here...
...there's the desktop shell theme ( written i CSS )
that themes the panels. Then there's the QStyle
that themes the window gadgets ( widgets ) in windows.

Neither of those are uploaded anywhere sry...
...it's best this way since they are made by me for me.

However, the QStyle is a fork of Bespin , so you
might wanna try that and see how u like it

the shell is BE::Shell and the
style is a unreleased fork of Bespin .

i know but could u upload the source of the style and an easy guide to install it?
i use linux from a wile but i've never installed be::shell and i don't know how to set themes or things like that

what?!?! no? there is no easy way to install it...
...believe me, iffffff this was in any way user friendly
it would be uploaded.

for be.shell config see the config reference
and for be.shell styling see the theming section .

It's more or less a mac clone tho.... and iMetal
is also a more or less mac clone... so they are
in the same genre so to speak that might be why.

monochromatic icons have their pros and cons sure -like anything else.
For starters, they dont scream HEEEY LOOK AT MEEEE IM HEEEEEERE
but still (even at small size) communicate very clearly (since it's a really really
basic shape -iconic optimally) what it is that it's doing.

Might not look as pretty in everybodys eyes tho -this is a matter of taste.
if there was a recognition delay then I doubt that all street signs where
monochromatic and iconic

interesting quandary tho!
