hahaha i think i know what you're talking about. they kinda look plastic-y right? lol i got lucky, i sprayed and tried not to shake the flower too much, lest the droplets merge and mess up. (aah, the things we photographers go through

interesting, what lens do you use? the other deviation looks somewhat like what i got from reverse mounting the lens onto my slr.

this is the lens that came with the camera, 18-55mm. what do you mean by reverse mounting?

It means that you mount the lens in the reverse direction, i.e. the front element is near the sensor. Typically, thsi would require a reverse mount ring. The lens effective behaves like a x:1 macro, where x>1. :-D In layman terms, you get super magnification.
