Well, since I got such a positive response in my poll, I'm very happy to bring you this tutorial about my coloring technique!
I won't say it's the best technique in the world, but this I assure you: it's very, very simple (once you get the hang of it, at least). I only use two brushes in the whole process! Don't be intimidated by all the text, I say a lot more than necessary
The extra part, about the final touches... Take it with a pinch of salt. I don't have much experience doing backgrounds, and I'm usually feeling very lazy when I get to this point of the drawing, so there are surely much better techniques out there.

Here's the eye coloring tutorial I mention at the begginning of this one:

It's kinda old, but I pretty much still do the same things that I explained there
