Description My part of art trade with

She asked me to create a character design and this is (kind of) what I came up with. Some changes were made along the way, and I really love the end result I will mail it out either tomorrow or next week and am SUPER excited about what Hakkatu has made for me!

Navarak is poseable, needle felted on wire. Faux fur was used on the legs and tail.

Your needle felting is so smooth. I love the design as well, very cute and cool.
The felt you used on the feathers looks so darn crisp, thin, and rigid. Did you felt them yourself or did you cut them out of some manner of premade felt sheet?

I cut them out from premade sheets I got from ebay They're thin, but stronger than the sheets I've used before, which were more like some plush fabric.

Neat. I have recently been on a never ending quest to find felt I like and its not been overly successful. Its nice to know there is still hope out there I'm going to attempt to make my own felt sheets in the near future, should be fun.

Wings, both bat and feathered eventually. I just have not been happy with the quality or wool percentage of anything I have gotten my hands on yet.

Everything I've used in bat wings has been good so far, since the wire holds it together. It's a different story with feathers, as they can droop eventually if they're too soft.
