History--
A once renowned magician, Jake Lancett went criminally insane after a grim magic-show-mishap. After murdering untold amounts of innocent civilians, he was confined to a sanitarium until he later escaped. Now, Lancett roams the city day and night performing tricks for reluctant passerbys, and slaughtering anyone that unknowingly reminds him of that ill-fated day when he lost all semblance of his sanity.

Creator Comments--
Like many artists, much of my inspiration comes from actual circumstances and personal experiences. Jake Lancett was developed after an interesting discussion with a few of my friends, concerning the idea of a talented magician being sent to a sanitarium. Why, he'd drive all the nurses mad, naturally. One minute they lock him in solitary confinement, the next minute, they turn around and he's standing right in front of them bellowing "how do I dooooooo it?!" And of course, moments after they bind him in a straight jacket, he's out again, frolicking down the asylum halls, pulling rabbits and doves out of his gown. To quote my good friend; "he'd escape from the asylum, and be out on the street trying to pay for a taxi with quarters he's pulled out of peoples' ears." The idea of an insane, homicidal magician as a character was just too great to pass up... And so, with a few alterations, a character design and a magnificent stage name, "The Legendary Jake Lancett" was born.
