A heads up, This story was discontinued after it's 205th page around 3 years ago. This is NON-NEGOTIABLE, it will NOT be restarted at any point and no amount of BEGGING, WHINING, COMPLAINING OR MOANING will ever change it. It's well and nice if you enjoy this, but just fyi, there isn't an proper end and never will be. If you're still interested despite that, welp, read on I guess.

this was mostly drawn in pencil, and i just added a few filters for the lighting, so i think this is more traditional then digital... or maybe not. i dunno...
these are the first two pages of my Danny Phantom doujinshi, 'Asylum', a story which takes placed roughly 13 years in the future, (and yes, the recent episode 'Urban jungle' is included in the timeline. because ice power is so stinkin' cool, no pun intended)
... i really can't say much about the story itself (partially becuase i just din't feel like it and partially because it is semi-improvisional), other then it started from me wanting to draw Danny... in a straitjacket. no, i don't know why. i just did.
i like long haired danny.
page1/panel1: the start of everything. origanally, he was sitiing on the ground with his legs streched out in front of him, which gave a better effect, but the perspective looked so bad no matter what i did, i switched to having him kneel.
pg2/panel1: i adore this panel. it turned out just how i imagined. and snce i am a perfectionist to end all perfectionists, this means i am really, really happy with this. the colors in his eye came out awesome
pg2/panel2: valerie doesn't look nearly old enough and the shading came out funny on the scanner, but i'm pretty much ok with it. yes, i only color in eyes and the things which glow brightly (ectoplasm, lights, ect.) i considered coloring the red part of valerie's suit, but it looked weird so i took it out.
so... i hope you like it! look forward to pages three-four (i will always post two at a time. this is my new project)

Oh man, the lighting... I always get a little bit of a kick whenever someone remarks over it, because it actually takes nearly no effort at all, so long as you have photoshop 7 or higher. ].
What I did was select the area I wanted the lighting to be in, then went to 'filter' on the options bar. Then I go to Render--> Lighting Effects and that makes a box pop up with the lighting effects controls and a preview image so I can tell how it'll look ahead of time. Then I just adjust the colors, position and size until I like how it looks.
So it's actually really simple to do (I sometimes almost feel like I'm cheating, in fact)

Go right ahead! You really don't need to ask someone's permission to add them to your watch list (people use it both to keep track of friends and to keep updated with artists they like, even if they don't talk with them or anything, for the record)
To add someone to your Watch List, go to their main page. On the bar with all their information near the top, you should see a little symbol with the words 'add this person to your watch list'. Click on that and they'll be added.

I've been a long time reader, first time commenter...because I'm lazy. *is bricked* ANYWAY I'm now going to show my appriciation for your lovely comic by actually commenting! OMG. Anyways, First few pages, DAnny is just awsome. I love him on the top of the second page. And I must say now that I really like how you have black and white pages with little bits coloured. Glowing eyes of awsomeness is just...well...awsome.
