jfc this was a thing lmao i am also currently in love with a fish don't mind me

Aight so a couple weeks ago, a friend told me I should do something for mermay. And being the over achieving bastard that I am, I decided to go all out and make this piece of work lmao I went through a lot of different ideas as to where I could go with this, and eventually stuck with the idea of this massive sea goddess like character looking down on a diver, which was my friend's idea. I wanted to make her evil and scary but at the same time beautiful and enchanting. I added the jellyfish in as kind of a last minute ditch to put some light in there because it was originally a very dark picture. Either way I had a lot of fun with this, and I hope to get more into fantasy artwork from now on because this was very inspiring and it really tested my limits. I'm very happy with how this turned out and can't wait to do more in the future! So yeah, be sure to let me know what you guys think and as always, constructive criticism is always welcomed!!
