I love your style of penciling!  My shading is so soft, I wish it could be as crisp as yours!  What kind of pencil/lead do you use, if you don't mind me asking?

Hi Shou!!!
I really enjoy using pentel graphgear 1000 .03mm(all metal; but plastic one is alright too, just depends if you like metal or plastic.. same thing just different material). It takes some getting use to if you are a .7 or .5 but once you use it itll change your life forever. I also like to use Merite electric eraser. I think its something worth investing into as well if you plan on using pencil a lot in the future! Im also kind of a nerd when it comes to mecha pencils. I also recently bought a uniball kurutoga (roulette), and that one is pretty nice bc it revolves so you always get a sharp point, only downside is that it only comes in .5.
I really want to try this www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00A… bc its so stupid expensive just to see what the hype is.. but until it can get into a reasonable price Ill just have to wait it out.

I would just use electric eraser and .3 combo for sketch and cleaning your lines, and .5 or .7 for shading~. And if this also answers some questions, I take it to PS and clean any stray lines or dust to make it even cleannnerrrr!! +_+!!! lol!!

Also another side note is that .3 graphite can only be purchase online or at a really fancy art store. I dont really live near any art stores like Utrecht/dickblick or Binders so i buy it via amazon... but it kind of works out bc most times it cheaper online anyways (esp if you have prime)

I do use a .5, so I'll bet for me (since I like doing small drawings) a .3 would be super fun!  Do you happen to know the hardness of the lead you use?  I have a couple of art stores in town (like 3 or 4, actually.  It's an art town.  XD )

I feel like I use a 2B (or something around that range)
I would recommend having something like a 4B and 2B for value range, but I feel like convenience-wise it'd be better to just have a 4B.

I wish GA had more art stores, but all the major ones are in ATL (about 3). I have a hard time finding .3 mm graphite unless im at Binders, but most times I order on amazon for art supplies. But yes, .3 is a life changer. If you dont have one by the time I see you, Ill let you try mine 8D hahahaha!
