Got an ask on tumblr whether i had any headcanons about what happened to Piers and Marnie's parents!

To me there’s a few things that imply Piers and Marnie have been on their own for a long time, like his strong parental drive towards her or her trouble expressing positive emotion. Might be that their parents died or, say, fucked off to go touring somewhere, I can’t decide yet!

I imagine their mom as the new in town kid who becomes the lead singer/guitarist of the back-then-hype punk rock band, and their dad (a nonbinary pal who came out a while after becoming an item with Piers + Marnie’s mom) as a Spikemuth local and her technician or some such, who seduced the stoic rockstar by being just the absolute sweetest. He’d have a Toxtricity for sure, and maybe a motorcycle! For their mom, I could picture an Absol or a Glalie.
