Description Entry #69! The second pride of Henz, Inc., Leoxic!

Height: 115 meters
Length: 145 meters
Mass: 65,000 tons

Powers:
- Poison Spines: Leoxic is covered in dozens of spines of various size, most of them around his face, back, arms, and tail. These spines are extremely sharp and are tipped with a painful poison concoction that make wounds feel like they are on fire for numerous hours, possibly even days.
- Dart Barrage: The spines that line Leoxic’s chest and belly are much smaller than those found elsewhere on its body, but they are tipped in the same painful poison. If the need arises, Leoxic can fire these spines like darts. How he does it changes, from a single shot to an all-out barrage, or even a shot gun effect to fire them in any forward direction.
- Pharyngeal Jaw: Hidden within Leoxic’s throat is a second set of jaws that can rarely be seen from the outside. This acts much like the same pharyngeal jaws of a moray eel, in which once Leoxic bites down on a victim, the jaws shoot up, clamp down, and drag it down into the body. This is also how Leoxic feeds due to the fact he can’t actively swallow like normal kaiju.
- Puff Time: Like a pufferfish, Leoxic can expand the size of its body considerably, giving it a much larger appearance. In this state, it can barely move, but attacking it via hand to hand is extremely illadvized. In this state, more and more poison spines emerge from within its body, pointing in every direction and making Leoxic nearly impervious to touch by most kaiju.
- High Frequency Scream: Leoxic’s secret, and very painful ability, comes in the form of a high frequency scream so loud that humans can’t hear it, but most variety of kaiju can. This can be comparable to a dog whistle in how it works, but much more painful to the ears. If the target kaiju can’t hear the scream, Leoxic can rework the attack to a lower frequency until finding the highest, most painful frequency they can hear, eventually blowing their eardrums.
- Sonic Beam: Leoxic can work its high frequency scream into a true projectile weapon, a sort of sonic beam. This beam can be worked at a variety of degree. The beam itself is usually invisible, but if used in a smoky or dusty area, a path can be seen between the target and Leoxic from where the sound actually pushed through the smoke. The beam has a surprising amount of force to it, enough to topple kaiju and, if used enough, can actually rupture internal organs. Should the beam hit a target’s head, especially the ears, it could potentially leave them deaf for hours, if not days.
- Infrasonic Waves: Much like 17 Hz of infrasonic waves can cause a variety of effects in humans, including depression, anxiety, fear, and all around creepyness, Leoxic can use it on kaiju. Often emiting this much of infrasonic waves from his maw, creating the same effects with its victims. Often its release of infrasonic waves can also create “ghosts” to the opponent, making them see things out of the corner of their eyes, hear things that just aren’t there, and general hauntingness.

Weakness: None

Biography: The second pride of Henz, Inc. After the recovery of Heavyclaws and the robotic crab began to get the company more support from various countries, Patrick Pyatt activated the second part of his plan: to replace the A.K.D.F. bio-weapons with those of Henz’s. However, there were only three minds on Earth that could successfully create a creature that could contend with the vicious power of the Earth’s monsters, and two of them worked for the forces already and the third was thought dead. After the defeat of Char’boil by Heavyclaws, Patrick began to insist more and more on the company’s own powerful creature, but the best his workers could attempt was a more “average” beast like Gorgs or Ankylotherium.

This all changed when an anonymous package was delivered to Mr. Pyatt. This package included a variety of things, including scientific plans and know-how on how to create an effective, true anti-kaiju kaiju. Except the plans weren’t finished, and the source of the package remained completely unknown. If Mr. Pyatt wanted to go ahead with this project, he’d have to meet the sender face to face in a remote village in Chile. The man was told to come alone, something many of his advisors told him not to do.

But Patrick Pyatt’s interest had been peeked, meaning there was no turning back.

Upon arriving at the village, the executive was given another package by a local boy, instructing him to head to an old warehouse that had been abandoned for years. When he entered the structure, he found the lights inside weren’t only working, they were new! New power cords also stretched along the floor, creeping underneath doors and plugging into unseen computers. For nearly ten minutes the CEO of Henz, Inc. wandered the structure, but all of the doors were locked. It was seemingly empty.

When he turned away to exit the building, he found the doors he had come in were locked. Fear began to set in, and he slowly began to realize he had been lured into a trap. When he tried to use his cell phone, there was no signal, something was blocking it. It was then that the man inside, the source of the strange package, showed himself. Emerging from one of the locked doors, a ghost appeared, or what Mr. Pyatt thought was a ghost.

Dr. Rudolph Ackert, long thought dead after the defeat of the Cult of Q’thulu by the A.K.D.F., welcomed the man to his so-called workshop. A feeling of rage came over Mr. Pyatt, much like it does any human whom sees the traitor of their species, but he decided to hear the man out. The scientist was the best of the best when it came to kaiju creating, having made Razor, Cell, Jantwan, Skullizar, Thunder, Cell 2, and Reef, he was the only one alive that could actually rival the skill of Dr. Miles Himes and Dr. Melissa Silver. He jumpstarted Henz, Inc.’s bio-weapons department, but his involvement, like the identity of the controllers of Heavyclaws, was kept top secret.

To control the scientist, Mr. Pyatt made regular, un-announced check-ups and, if anything was wrong, the scientist would be handed over to authorities. But Rudolph kept in line as he developed his latest creation. China, North Korea, Cuba, and Russia were the biggest watchers and funders and soon the small creature was created to be showcased. Combining lionfish, puffer fish, dolphin, and reptilian DNA, Rudolph created a powerful new creature. Henz, Inc. began to train the monster to fight, much like the A.K.D.F. did with Plague and Swamp.

But unlike the A.K.D.F. kaiju, Leoxic was kept hidden from the public. His time would come; however, when Dunkleoder, still on the loose after being freed by the Cult of Q’thulu, made its new territory off the coast of Venice, Leoxic was deployed. As the Klenthurian monster Rosie battled the underwater predator, a new creature was spotted on sonar. As Venice was in a war zone, a tidal wave lifted up and crashed down, revealing the latest Rudolph monster. What was once a routine monster roundup turned into a three-way brawl as Rosie, Dunkleoder, and Leoxic clashed.

In the midst of the fight, Dunkleoder was disoriented by Leoxic’s infrasonic powers, and eventually rendered unconscious by numerous sonic beams to the head. This left Rosie and Leoxic alone in the ancient city, but as strange as Leoxic arrived, the aquatic chimera vanished beneath the waves. While Dunkleoder was again relocated to Genesis Island, a new hunt for this new beast was underway. Henz, Inc. didn’t come out right away, but nor did they deny having any involvement with the monster. It wasn’t until the creature’s powers and training were completely finished did the company showcase their first bio-weapon.

But as the monster became famous, battling more uprising monsters in this new age, Henz, Inc. moved ahead with their final project.

Creative History: A long time coming. Hard to believe created Leoxic almost a year ago when we created monsters for each other’s universe. This was a rather difficult monster to bring in. His original design kicked much ass, but I didn’t have much to go on with powers. I brought in numerous abilities from aquatic animals and also incorporated sound. I wanted to do sound attacks for a kaiju for a long time, but not the traditional sonic booms and loud screams. Coloring this bad boy wasn’t much easier either. The original one had scales and was a white and pinkish in color. When I listed the powers out to Jake, he mentioned dolphins and this got the ball rolling. Instead of having scales like the original, I decided to go with a more smoother, dolphin-like flesh with lionfish-like patterns. This also may mean Leoxic is the first dolphin-based kaiju that isn’t a hero, at least I think so. I didn’t want to put too many spoilers in this, but Leoxic is not a hero in MM’s World. Though, I do think it was pretty obvious Rudolph wasn’t dead and he’d be involved with WWK somehow.

I'm really starting to like this guy. The more I think about him, the cooler he is. I could totally see him in an actual giant monster film.

Love the colors you chose for him, MM. The grey looks really good, and so do the patterns.

I didn't think you'd give him a grey-ish black tone, but it suits him well.

Also I figured Scorpidon was enough of an anti-Taninim kaiju already, throwing this guy in I start worrying you're going to make Taninim the butt monkey of the series

Strange how we work in circles. First I redesigned the kaiju you gave me The Ripelator, than you did the same to Leoxic.

Have to say, this guy looks pretty awesome. I'm glad I suggested dolphin.

By the way, were you going to join the contest I have running currently or are you busy?

I wasn't going to originally. I was coloring him a pinkish color, but couldn't get to look right for the longest time.

And I might. I'm EXTREMELY busy right now between WWK, art trades, and real life. Depends on how long it lasts.

It's actually a shade of orange, not pink. Unless my scanner fucked something up.

You got till May 1st if you like to do it. It's either a redesign or a original kaiju too.

Probably just the way the computer made it or something. Don't know, really.

Ya know, this is the only other monster I ever seen with the second set of jaws inside the mouth. The only other one is Razzek and that was recent.
but either way, I like this guy.

Much awesomeness a foot here. He comes across to me as something of an anti-Taninim which is pretty neat. His powers are devastating underwater as sound travels farther.

Yeah, he sorta is an Anti-Taninim. And I didn't actually think about the water-sound thing, but you're right, lol.

You can blame too many run ins with the Lagiacrus in tri for remembering how that mechanic works lol.
