A gothic-styled illustration to the tale(or rather a legend retold) by Pavel Bazhov "The Mistress of Cooper Mines". One of my favourite tales.
About a deviously devoted artist, by the way.

Yes. 2 or 3 times a week, 2 hours each time. This is my art studio piece. It's much more comfortable to work in a studio then at home, you see)

I also think the story is wonderfully written and has a wonderful concept within it. This pic renders my "gothic" vision at the time it was made and might have been better)
