Sooo, a friend of mine likes the Happy Mask character from that Zelda game (Majora's Mask?) and he jokingly challenged me to make a background for the ONE existing concept picture for him. Little did he know I would take him up on this. O.oHappy Mask was a terribly mean guy to make a background for. He has so many bold colors on him I was about ready to bleach his face to see him cry. D< o_o But, I think the background came out well, although it is flat in comparison to the Happy Mask figure in the picture.
I don't know how to give texture to the background yet! >.<
Sooo, I pulled all the colors from Happy Mask himself. The hardest part was finding a background color to start with that would be a good base. =O I think it did eventually come from his face somewhere. I blurred Happy Mask throughout to soften him up a bit.
This background took about two hours to make. <_< With all the difficulty of finding a flattering base for the background, etc.
Disclaimer: Clearly, I don't own the Happy Mask Salesman!
I pulled a name off of Wiki, so here: Shigeru Miyamoto I think and Nintendo hold the rights to this cooky guy.

I REALLY like it, it captures all the sides of HMS. Happy, Businesslike, Creepy, and Mysterious. Bravo!
