Okay, I totally forgot most of what I was originally going to say, or rather, how I was going to say it. So please forgive my ramblings, for they are long and the sense in it is barely decipherable.
Before anything else though, it's a beautiful shot. Peter is a bit obscured more than what I would personally like, and I have to resist the urge to stretch and try to stretch myself to "get a better view of him."
But his expression, along with the title immediately made me think, "DID you really find Neverland?"
I don't know if it's just me, but I really think that Neverland isn't all it's hyped up to be. Because I see Peter, looking at that boat [a toy, maybe? a DIY craft thing..?] and I think "Yeah, you don't get THAT at Neverland." And I don't mean toys. I mean... well, I don't know if it's just my mind going into overdrive, trying to reason it out, but...eh. I sort of imagined that the [toy?] boat has a story. Maybe she made it with her dad? Or however it came to be, it just feels right that it has a story. It has meaning.
Neverland seems so fleeting to me. Yes, it's happy, but there's no growth..? Not just in age, but there really is no growth. Without growth, Peter's world, no matter how happy it remains 'til the end of time, it has always been the same. There's never going to be anything new. No new discoveries, no progress. No...passion, for anything. And where there's no passion, no art. And for me, nothing could be more sad.
And I wonder what is going through Wendy's mind, seeing Peter so very... amazed? curious? ignorant? of something that for her, is quite mundane? [Although boat models like that aren't really that common...or are they? Well, the good-quality ones, I'm guessing?] Does she wonder what life must be like in the place he comes from?
On another note, though. Sometimes I wonder if this shot makes me feel young, or old. I suppose I feel old because it gets me...philosophical? And second-guessing my first impressions of Peter Pan, and my previous desire to live in Neverland too. But then I think maybe one needs to be young to still question the world, and wonder about everything, rather than be so very used to everything and not be amazed or fazed by anything....and on that note, I think I should be trying to get back my copy of Sophie's World...huh.
Well...uh, sorry for the ramblings. But I hope you get the general idea of my perspective. And I hope it could mean something to you as well as it means to me. Meaning, I hope it makes your head hurt, too. Hahahaha just kidding
But really, the shot is absolutely beautiful. Everything from Peter's expression to the way the surrounding light colors and the light itself seems to bring more focus to the darkly-colored boat model. I don't know if it was intentional, but there's something about the shot that seems important that the boat is highlighted and emphasized as the object that holds Peter's attention so...enchantingly? Almost seductively, maybe?

I'm sorry this isn't really a comment on the image, but I wanted to
ask how you did your Peter Pan's costume?

I'm not ingenious! It's all credit to books and stories, they inspire me so much.

But the way you conceptualized and portrayed it!
Just the scenery, etc. is so spot on!!
