For one, I don't hate them, but the stories I've read so far were all so bad it can only make me cringe at it. Besides, this was a request so I drew a possible scenario the person who requested it wanted to see.

I do too, I can only draw them when the face has already been predrawn. I work with references regardless, but it's hard to transform a real person's face into a loco's face. Shapes and proportions are completely different which makes it so hard to get right.

I get what you mean. The human face is more narrow while the engine's faces are a complete circle, or square... or some other shape...

Exactly. That's why it takes me roughly 20 redraws at least for each face I ever drew.
