Description Yeah this is part me wanting to branch out in my style and part my on going obsession with pirates and anything dealing with the sea.

I just wanted to draw the sails on this. No it isn't a pirate ship this is like a schooner circa 1819. Watch me attempt a pencil drawing!

Edit This was drawn from a picture that I've seen, forgt to mention that.

GREAT WORK, MAN. BEFORE I EVEN ZOOMED IN, I KNEW THAT IT'S 19TH CENTURY WHICH IS WAY PAST THE GOLDEN AGE OF PIRACY'; BUT I UNDERSTAND WHY YOU FELT YOU NEEDED TO STATE THE FACT THAT IS NOT A PIRATE SHIP. MOST PEOPLE SIMPLY SEE SAILS AND THINK, "PIRATE SHIP." IT IRRITATES ME TO DEATH.
MEANWHILE, LIKE YOU, MY FAVORITE PART OF A SHIP TO DRAW IS THE SAILS AND ALL THE RIGGING. GOOD JOB.

O_o Okay so I just fell in love with you. I hope that does not creep you out as much as it creeps ME out--this is only the first picture I looked at past a thumbnail, and I discover that you share my two biggest passions and are capable of drawing a rocking rendition of something I drool over at least daily, if not hourly.

I am afraid of the horrible stalker I am going to become by the time I finish looking at your gallery

Hey! Holy Crikey Whispering Crocodiles, it's bloody brilliant! This is an excellent drawing.
It sort of switches between realism and not-really-realism and I'm not sure if that's intentional, but the sails are truely the dominant article in this picture!
