First LAMA picture in a while

Seriously last time I've posted a LAMA picture was 2 months ago...granted again I took more than a month off of posting but the fact remains. But for my 485th color commission we got one and it's a pair of sisters as it's time to showcase Darcy and Lisa's...*looks at the picture and then look at the original versions*...Growth Spurts? From the original source they were pretty small kids but here they seem to be a bit more scaled to how Joko draws kids but hey it's fine at least. Would of been nice to have them be as close to their original source as they can as that's how my coloring rolls but I guess it would of make things complicated for the line art process.

ANYWAYS let's talk about Loud House which these two are from...yeah I haven't seen it. It's one of those shows where I heard about the synopsis of the show of a large family with only one boy and the rest are sisters and there is a lot of them, hijinxs ensues. It's a pretty good set up and had a good artstyle to boot and I've heard a lot of good things about it. It's just like before, I haven't seen it.

So because I haven't seen it I can't exactly talk about the series as a whole, let alone the characters, just two sisters with Lisa (Right) and Darcy (Left) deciding to dive in the underwater world with LAMA gear and having a good time. And with a background like that who wouldn't be as this is easily one of the most complicated backgrounds that Joko has drawn for an underwater picture filled with different sea life. As you can tell this took a lot of work to fully color as well as figure out the right colors for the coral and fishes but they do stand out adding more color to the picture. I'm very happy with the colored background of the picture...wish I can say the same for the characters themselves but what did you expect when I have a rule that says I try to color them as close to the source as I can. As like most western animated shows, they don't have proper shading and lighting as it's just the base colors allowing to focus more on the animation of the characters among other things.

But hey they do look cute and I'm glad that I get to work on this.
