It was a day in early autumn, and I was there with a friend who was visiting this place for the first time. So I had hoped for sunny weather so he could see the mountain in all its glory - and the spectacular view for about 10 miles over hills, lakes and endless woodland. At first we were a bit disappointed at the rain and mist, but there was a freshness in the air and all the nature smelled good, like autumn. While the light was flat and dull, all those glittering water drops added at crispness to the shapes and colours. And the photo's captured a genuine mood rarely seen in postcard-style pix... Or so I'm flattering myself to think!
