Such a gorgeous cathedral.. You just don't see a lot of architecture like this much here in Nova Scotia. There's a few that are very nice in Halifax.. but I find most of the mare too modern. Nothing says 'Glory, Glory, Glory' like the religious inspired architect of yore.

You're absolutely right; the detail inherent in old religious structures is breathtaking, and Europe has such a wealth of them.
Ottawa has a large catholic cathedral, and though its spires look nice on the skyline (especially when they light up at dusk), up close the exterior just can't compete detail-wise with its European counterparts.
