Description Name: Mattali Menda
Age: 50
Gender: Male
Species: Mandalorian
Date of Birth: 22 BBY
Place of Birth: Domus de Menda, Menda Sector, Unknown Regions
Affiliation: Tribe of Menda / Freedom Flight anti-slavery organisation
Title: Sith Inquisitor / Prince of Menda / King's Hand / Tribe King

~

Born into one of the most powerful families in the entire Sith Empire, Mattali was marked for greatness the day he was born. The training began almost immediately, and by the time he turned 13, he was selected as an apprentice of Darth Grehl VI, his father, who was the most infamous and controversial Sith in recorded history. The period of constant training and active missions kept the heir to the throne busy enough. And on his 18th birthday, he was to undergo his Final Trial before being anointed as a full Sith.

The final trial related to his family's belief that slavery was a blight upon the galaxy and had to be eradicated from every corner of it. His mission was to save a Force-sensitive female that had been sensed by his father through the Force. She had been captured and was being sold into slavery today. With only the coordinates of her location to go on, young Mattali headed off to the rescue.

Making a hyperspace jump into the Outer Rim Territories, he located the planet and put on his Sith attire - many Sith owned slaves and he would portray one who was buying this slave as a domestic servant for his family. Docking in the landing bay, he made his way to the auction house, escorted by two pro-slavery paramilitary types. Upon entering the auction house, he saw her up on the stage, chained to the wooden block she was standing on. Mattali sat in the front row and he gauged other bidders around him.

The bidding started hard and fast, with one man offering 500,000 credits for her straight off the bat. Mattali entered the race and gradually outpaced the other bidder, and the followers. He won the auction by bidding 1,500,000 credits, much to the amazement of the auctioneer and chief slave trader. He got up on the stage to receive his prize and swiftly ignited his lightsaber, cutting down the auctioneer, cleaving him in half. The chief slave trader tried to escape, but he was crushed by a Force-manipulated stage light.

Using the Force to close the double doors, Mattali asked the now former slave to help him escape; she responded by igniting her own lightsaber and whispered that she was a Jedi Knight on an undercover mission, and that her name was Anneta. This was the first time he had ever seen one of these Jedi up close, and she was astoundingly beautiful. They escaped and made their way back to his ship and successfully made it off-world, before they could be apprehended and then publically executed for deception.

But it was not to last; his undercover prize was recalled to Coruscant to visit her sick grandparents. Her family were uneasy about him at first, but Anneta explained that he and his family hated slavery as much as they did, and had saved her from actually being sold into slavery while on her mission. And with their express blessing, he took her back to the Unknown Regions and he asked the now former Jedi Knight to marry him. She accepted his proposal and then Mattali began training her in the ways of the Dark Side.

He was then anointed as a Sith by his proud father and made an Inquisitor. His marriage to Anneta was also accepted, and the two were married in a lavish, but private, ceremony in 2 BBY. Finally, Mattali's life was falling into place - he'd met the girl of his dreams, abet in unusual circumstances, and was now married to her. Life was looking sweet at this moment, but it would become sweeter.

In 0 ABY, he became the proud father of two children; non-identical twins named Seth and Sai. And then in the same year, while on one of the Menda tribe's many anti-slavery operations, he helped to rescue two Togruta and two Twi'lek newborns. Mattali now had the happy family he always dreamed of, but there was still the task at hand of tackling slavery until it was truly eviscerated.

you mean, there were six others before him?! but wait, if the sith have dealings in slavery, then won't he and anneta get caught and killed?

Yes and before it was changed to Grehl, the Darth title for the male line in the Menda family was was Tol. It was changed by secret ballot, because Darth Tol XV said that he and other Tols had done all they could to end slavery, and that it was up to a new lineage of Dark Lords to take up the family mantle of anti-slavery (I hope that made sense )

The Menda family has many friends in high places, who manage to keep their anti-slavery war under wraps from the other Sith, who would gladly kill them for deviating from the grand plan of galactic domination.

whoa! dude, imagine what would happen if palpatine caught them! this is remarkable, i've never heard of good sith guys! then again with the jedi claiming they're nothing but evil, it's hard to find them.

Well, they managed to keep it a secret by telling white lies to Palpatine and Vader that the slaves they captured were to be put to work in the Menda Sector performing hard labour in factories without wages or food. They also staged several shifts at fake factories to complete the ruse - it worked flawlessly.

THEY PULLED ONE OVER VADER?! Dude, he would've been more than glad to help them since he HATES anything to do with slavery. Poor Vader wasn't invited to the party as usual.

Well, maybe I could add more details to the story from a dream I had last night

Mattali met with Vader several times to discuss the family's unothrodox beliefs, and the Dark Lord is more than happy to provide them with whatever assistance he can to help cleanse the galaxy of this disease.

And the last thing Mattali said before leaving was "Thank you, Anakin," and then I woke up.

*nods* the story goes that Anneta's brothers fought alongside Anakin and Ahsoka in several battles during the Clone Wars, thus Mattali put the stories from his wife's family and the rumours from the Empire together.

And Vader does nothing after he hears his former name - not even a Force Choke, because he wants to help them get rid of slavery at all costs.

In my 0 BBY story that basically is the anchor for every future ABY story, the Menda clan, along with their Jedi relations, manage to destory an Imperial fleet that is sent to the Unknown Regions to assassinate them on the order of Palpatine - he "accidentally" comes across information that details the truth behind their actions, leaving him extremely pissed off.

And so, this is one of the last orders he gives before the final showdown with Luke and Vader/Anakin. In the aftermath, they have to then handle the First Order, who sees them as being unsuitable to inhabit the galaxy, due to their light side nature and being the last of the old Galactic/Sith Empire. And everything starts all over again...

Dude, can I ask you something....since Disney took over our beloved SW franchise....do you think Star Wars is dying? I mean, before the dreaded Ep. VII, Star Wars was nowhere in sight and was only being continued through comics and novels, which was fine, but now, do you think the market's dying out? O_O

I hope that the two new trilogies will revitalize Star Wars even more *crosses fingers* plus, I would love to finally see Knights Of The Old Republic III made, along with more works based in the Old Republic era

And I am doing my part to keep Star Wars alive by writing my fan fictions and creating characters

Star Wars fics will never die out! It's a part of every fandom and besides, most of the stories I've read are a heckuva lot better than Ep. VII's so called plot twists....AT LEAST WE DON'T KILL OFF LUKE SKYWALKER!!!  Anyway, I only asked because you wouldn't believe all the SW merch still sitting on the shelves...EVEN TOYS R' US CAN'T GET RID OF THEM AND THEY'RE GOING OUT OF BUSINESS!!

I sent my dad out on a dare the day Ep. VII came out and told him to go to at least four different toy stores to fins a certain Darth Vader figure I wanted. He took the challenge and went....he nearly got whiplash from doing double takes at all the same toys he kept seeing in every store....THE SAME ONES!!
