"stupid leaf logo" haha I'm not really fond of it either, but without it, is very nice.
Now I know why people download and not fav. It's because the view size is so small, you almost HAVE to download it to see it, and I don't really fav stuff I'm not going to use. However, I could fav it to support you, but I don't want to clutter my favs anymore than they already are. hehe

I try to say something more like "please consider faving if you download" instead of "if you download you must fav as a condition of use." A lot of people do that, though. It has crossed my mind, but it seems too strict.
As for the leaf...I won't lie, it sorta is shameless self promotion. That and it's a very common design format (just look at a lot of mac wallpapers with the apple in the middle). It's just a shape like that, it's not overly ostentatious. I think most people don't like it because I admit it's my logo - and they don't wanna sport it as such. Understandable...
