I think I'm just about finished with this one. Just minor tweaks here and there are left to do - I'll lighten the shadows on the tights a bit and resubmit it as completed tomorrow.This is Mitzi, and she's the same little girl who's sitting on the beach in my big watercolour of two kids sitting on the beach.
This is oil on canvas, 24" by 36", a commission. I really like this one; I don't work in oil very often.

This one's one of my favourites, obviously. I don't do many big oils, but it's nice when they turn out pretty well. Thanks for the kind words. ^^

Wow, the last time I saw this piece was when it was only the dress and the outline of her face. This looks absolutely AMAZING. I have to say that this is one of your best works.

Thank you so much! This one really took a long time, and it's just huge. Oil generally isn't my forte', so I probably worked on it longer than necesary. I ran into someone the other day who saw the model while they were out eating, and was so excited to meet her - "Oh! You're the girl from the painting!"

Ohh, this is beautiful. On the back view, you got the neck angle exactly right, which is hard to do when painting dancers. (Wannabe ballerina, here. lol). And there's a cute, heartwarming, girl-next-door, kind of wistful tone to it. Amazing, amazing job.

Thank you very much! This one took longer than any painting I've ever done, and it's pretty imposing in person. The model is a girl who takes ballet in my town, and she has the most impossibly blue eyes. I had to call her in to take a second look to make sure I got them right.

Oh, thank you very much! I don't think I've ever worked quite so hard on one painting. We chose a great big fat gold frame for it, and put it in the front window of my gallery until the owner comes to pick it up.

Thanks very much. I think it's done; I don't want to get carried away with detail. I thought I might add a painting on the wall or a line to denote the edge of the mirror, but I don't want to add anything that takes away from the subject.
