Thanks very much! ^^ After spending so much time in DA with David and so many of the Turnbull clan, I feel like I know the whole family! This must be one hilarious kid - the photo was just too irresitable not to paint.

Thanks! Kind of a fun thing to do. Most people ask me for more formal portraits, but when I saw the reference photo I used for this one, I really wanted to try it.

Thanks! This child is very northern European, so I went with chinese white as a base to add creaminess, and added a touch of yellow ochre and a bit of alazarin crimson. I change my "formula" for skin tones depending on a lot of factors, but kids like this seem to have a little more pink in them, generally.
