Woooaaaah!!
Lol, I thought that was a photo at first! Amazing.
And I agree with you on being on the mood to do art.
I can only produce good art when I'm in the mood to draw.
If I'm not in the mood... I end up throwing a fit on how bad of a drawer I am XD hahaha

They sure are! *sigh* I sure do miss the northern country. It's such a terrible ache inside. I hate living in the city. It's far too noisy.

Oh, that's right - where you are, the trees aren't even very tall! I was amazed when I went to Maine and saw the birch forests - even in the fall, they looked like snow because they were so white. It's a beautiful sight!

Oh, yes, they are so beautiful! Birch trees are spectacular. Another aspect that I have always loved about Birch trees is a bit of history that goes with them. I don't know if you went up close to one, but if you do you will find that the bark is very paperlike. The white bark peels off like paper, naturally. The native americans used to peel off sections of this wood and use it as paper to write things on it. The "paper" is so soft, almost soft like a fine velvet. Depending on how many layers you peel off at a time, it can be thick like cardstock or extremely delicate and thin, like tissue paper.

Yes, I've seen those too! It's neat isn't it? The great northern country is full of wonders! I need to find those kind of wonders down here......I'm trying desperately to try to enjoy the south.....it's proving to be hard, but I'm truly giving it my all.

LOL! Well, those COULD be good points, but......
1.) I don't mind the slush, because if there's slush that means there's snow, and I LOVE snow!
2.) HA HA! You've never driven in Florida, have you?? It's downright dangerous down here. Between the multitude of UNcourteous people here we also have a ton of elderly people down here, making driving quite hazardous to one's health.
3.) No, no bears, but we have man-eating alligators to take the place of the bears, which attacks more frequently than the northern bears anyway!
Boy, Chris, you stink when trying to find positive things about the South! LOL! BUT I'm STILL trying to find the positive and only focus on that. Perhaps in a year it will finally replace my seeing the things I don't like.

Thanks! You're absolutely right. Most of the commissioned work I do is from photos sent to me over the internet, but I think it really makes a lot of difference to have that personal connection that you get from plein air or having been on location to shoot the subject.
