Entry for Biohazardia 's "Characters into Dragons" contest! CONTEST JOURNAL

Omg this was actually so much fun to do!! When I first heard the contest, I immediately thought about doing this character. I did go through soooo many other ideas, but this one....well I couldn't not do her.

Before I even began to think about colour, I needed and considered a pose and expression that would best embody her personality and attitude. To do something properly, one must get the facial features and expressions and posture correct. Colour is then used to enhance that and reinforce the character after you have already done everything you can to convey the character. It took honestly forever to get her right, especially in the face. Personally, I feel like it's pretty spot on.

Then I had to consider how to best emulate her key features. After all, glowing laser swords simply aren't a thing in the WoF Universe. So I went, well she uses two blades, so it would makes heaps of sense for her to have two razor blades on the edges of her wings, which in my opinion would make for a graceful wing dance. Not to mention, imagine her flying around at top speed tucking in tight spirals and slicing things when she flips her wings open for speed, stabilisation, and attack.

Then it was a case of her markings. She's got diamond patterns down her legs, and rainwings have a natural spotted patterns too. So well, perfect!!! Then there was the actual clothing her worse, which I just made into an intentional pattern she wore due to her camouflage scales!

Personality: Ahsoka Tano is fierce, feisty, extremely sassy and snippy, and at times, hotheaded. This is what earned her the nickname 'Snips'. But she's viciously loyal, and has strong opinions of what is right and wrong, always doing what she feels is best and right for everyone she cares for. As a Jedi Padawan, she is discouraged from her emotions, but as a Republic Commander who has seen far too many battles and watched too many of her men die, she is prone to action entirely upon her emotions.
But off the battle field, she is kind, and considerate, willing to listen to her friends and help them fight their own battles.
