It's here! Finally, 3 freakin' months after I signed this thing, it's CG'd and at least finished enough to be posted on DeviantArt.

I guess you already viewed the deviation as you are reading this. It's about a sunny fall evening, as I'm working the evening shift. It's about 17:00 and this is usually when the rush hour begins. People come home from work, but just before that, they drop by their *cough* favorite gas station to gas up and impulsively buy candy, drinks and other unhealthy stuff.

After nearly 5 years of clerk experience, I've become quite familiar with all the steriotypes that visit our humble gas/service station. As a clerk, you get in touch with about any layer in society and although I always try to be as forthcoming and customer friendly as possible, it's inevitable that some of these customers are quite aggravating, or the other way around.

Since most cartoons are somewhat based off society, it's only logical that when you place them in a situation like this, they'll easily fit within some real life steriotypes, here's a short summary of the characters and their steriotype (some come in pairs). From left to right:

Artrix: The clerk, the "low life scum" of society. The underschooled loser whose sole purpose in life is to annoy people with high gas prices. What many people don't realize is that many clerks my age are "useless" students who just want to earn an extra buck, and that if it weren't for us gas retailers, people wouldn't be able to drive around their expensive Mercedes and SUVs.

Sharon Spitz/Ginger Foutney: The 12-14 year old charva-like girls who enter the area on their bikes and are surprised when they're being asked for their ID when attempting to buy cigarettes. I really enjoy breaking their "I'm going to be so cool" spirit >:]

Wanda: Typical housewife who usually pays for the gas while husband waits in their car. Yes, Cosmo and Wanda are not portraying husband and wife in this pic.

Danny/Sam(antha)/Vicky: The occasional gang of 17-19 year olds, they always come in packs and strategically take positions throughout the store. I'm not really noticing any differences between the boys and girls, they equally like to read magazines or buy snack food.

Muriel/Eustace Bag: The seniors who occasionally come and gas up their cars. These people generally have trouble keeping up with the pace of rush hour, but most of them are extremely friendly. Muriel got in line while Eustace is still fueling up. Like many people, Muriel is guesturing Eustace if this is the kind of chewing gum he likes.

Starfire: I'm not the only one who's shift isn't over. Starfire, who's normally a pretty naive and cheerful girl, is now a busy business woman, who's booking another apointment into her PDA. These people usually keep talking to their cell phones, even when paying O.o

Dexter/Timmy: The little fellas are so funny. These 7-9 year olds who spend all afternoon searching their house for loose change, just to splurge it at a generally expensive service station. Apparently this is considered "cool" among the kids. I don't understand why they don't just buy the same items for half price at the local grocery store.

Johnny Bravo: As much as a macho he his, I turned him into a mechanic who works at one of the many local showrooms and car repairs. Really, there are at least 5 of these mechanics among each rush hour wave. Obviously, he's attracted by Starfire <]

Ginger's mom: Among the regular customers are the people of the ambulance patrol (cops also, but I didn't felt like including them too). Since Ginger's mom is a nurse, well, figures. Just wait till she finds out Ginger tries to buy tabacco >:]

Cosmo: Generic member from the workforce, about 40% of the whole rush hour wave is like this. Luckily, these people are the easiest people to process with their lease-passes and everything at the ready. They generally take less than a minute to help.

Okay, so maybe it's NOT a short summary, but heck, I spend so much time on this (not non-stop, but still) that it deserves some sort of background story. I hope you like it, even if it's just because of the many cartoon characters.
