Indeed. You are only brave when you face something you fear. Since Kim sees saving the world as 'no big,' she isn't being brave when she does it. Ron is being braver by going along with her even though he's scared out of his mind.
That isn't saying Kim isn't brave. She is when she faces down her fears (asking Mankey for a date, telling Ron her concerns that they may grow apart when they go off to college, etc.).
