Ikzelf zie het als een beetje brutaal jongetje met zwart haar en een grote grijns van blauwe ogen. Het is gek dat als je het op een bepaalde manier ziet je niet meer goed anders kunt kijken...

how does one learn that glassy effect in ultra fractal?

Oh dear, well I am not sure in this case how I did it as it is some time ago. But I do it now in marbles or spheres ( usually point orbit traps) by first making a layer of one colour , usually white, then adding a layer with a texture if I want one or with different colours all in the same marble, and on top of that I put one or two layers of white with unsharp edges and play with them and the size, merge and transperancy untill it has the effect I want, I suppose there are other ways but that is how i do it. It is all a question of trying and playing with your gradient.
