A rare colored trad fan art, incoming ; v ; )~

So I'm about 2 decades late to the party but nonetheless, I finally read and finished Hikaru No Go (ヒカルの碁) and I loved it. A lot.
The manga itself was touching and although many people expressed disappointment in the ending, after giving it a few more rounds of re-reads, I think it's actually fitting. ;v; )/ Definitely recommended! And it's also have an anime if you prefer watching over reading manga.

And I also started playing Go hallelujah haha I'm shite but I'm having lots of fun with it. Probably will never get half as good as any of the characters in Hikaru No Go in this lifetime, but eh xD

I was resting up my hand before working on commissions when I had the sudden urge to make a fan art in trad. I always feel like I'm being more 'sincere' when I draw in traditional medium. But I don't do it as much as before because...well, I really don't know why, actually. I think digital medium was just all around convenient and made me realize how much I suffered working with my cheapass trad materials? XD But I did it, and now I feel like I've been reunited with my first love.
My trad art isn't as "clean" as my digital art for sure, there's no ctrl + z, I gotta manually 'flip' to check for asymmetry, and I need to keep reminding myself to calm the fk down before doing anything while the ink isn't dry yet...but there's just this something I like about it that can't be replicated in digi.

So yeah, Hikaru No Go made me realize my first board game and return my passion for trad art. x'D It's a bit sad not much people know about it these days and there's barely anyone I can play go with irl, but the internet helps I guess. I'll definitely make more fan art of the other characters sometime soon!
