Amazing drawing, I've seen many My Little Pony drawings but this is cool.

That makes 3 different interpretations of the pony reaper I've seen so far. The first being the clumsy, somewhat goofy, and socially awkward Mort and the second being the ominous, serious, and also socially awkward Pale Hoof.

And mine is the straight up skeleton girl with a robe and scythe... a more classical representation...

How would you characterize the reaper?

thebloodreaver In reply to Claws-Prower [2011-09-16 20:04:14 +0000 UTC]

Classically... usually, you don't see the head because it's more shadowed out from the hood...

personality wise... it would be a humble being that hates being cheated, and though annoyed at being labeled as a villain, generally ignores the accusations and remembers it's just part of the job.

I like it.

What do you believe about her history/story. Such as an origin or something like that. Death is, of course, timeless, but everything has a beginning. Your thoughts?

Created by the one who created this universe, to play as a natural law to mediate and control populations... but let the craftier populations survive to exceed life expectancies, and play the role of the dominant species.

I mean, think about this... human beings, naturally, are only supposed to live to 30-40 years, we doubled (even sometimes tripled) that already...

I like your view point.

And I can only see out life spans increasing in the future. Death is very interesting thing it seems.

Yes, Death is interesting... sometimes beautiful, sometimes ugly... sometimes merciful, sometimes brutal... she isn't a bad-guy... she just has to do her job... but she HATES being cheated (rhetorically, it's probably more paperwork for her to do if "cheating" happens)

And, yes, as long as civilization grows, and we don't end up blowing ourselves up, our lifespans will probably reach up to more than just a century...

True. I always viewed Death incarnate as a neutral entity. Nether siding with Good nor Evil.

I see Death siding with good in most cases, cause evil tends to break rules more often than not. Death is about keeping things in proper order, to keep things from spiraling out of control with those that refuse to go in their time...

Ah. You make a very valid point.

And how do you think Death sees necromancers?

Pests that will get theirs in due time... they mettle with the laws of death... How would you feel if someone decided go to your workplace and piss around with your job?

True and false.

Death as a being is a public domain mythical creature, and therefor belongs to anyone. That means, even though i did this, someone else can do one too...

What does his cutie mark look like?

If she were to have one, it would be a scythe... but since she's a skeleton, she has none.

(I say she cause Death is actually female, even though pop culture likes to portray her as a male character...)
