Well, this took a while, but I feel like the end product was worth it.

So, Tikal. At first, I didn't really have a strong idea of what she would look like, so I winged it as I went. With her basic body type, I made it more or less female version of Knuckles' body type. I have a theory that, in Sonic Boom, female or male, all echidnas have that body type. Besides, she's Pachamac's daughter, so she's gotta be big. I removed that headpiece from her head, and instead, put it on her neck to make it a neck-piece. I also put red streaks on the bottom of her quills, as both a reference to her somewhat red appearance in Sonic X, and to give her a bit of a resemblance to her daddy. Also, it's not visible, but her quills are much longer, and tied into a hair-end ponytail, using the same ties that are around her front quills. I basically extended her skirt into a one-piece dress and put little petals on the bottom of her dress, as a bit of of a reference to 's amazing makover design of her: And I removed her gloves, because I felt like being a tribal girl, she wouldn't be wearing gloves. She does have those ties around her elbows, (I don't think they're sports tape, since sports tape didn't exist back in her times) and around her legs, and go down to a certain point. Those rings around her kneecaps are there, and have Knuckles' crescent symbol on them. Her feet are largely unchanged, though I guess now you know I draw my Sonic characters with toes.

In Boom, I think her role would be drastically different. Instead of a buddy to all the Sonic characters, and being there officially to stop Chaos, she would essentially be Knuckles' guardian angel. After some plot about her having to protect the guardian of the Master Emerald, her psyche finds Knuckles, and is... surprised to see he's not guarding the emerald, nor is he as smart as she hoped. Never the less, she cares deeply about Knuckles, and is always there when he needs advice, protection, and most importantly, a friend. Unfortunately, she can't retain the stable body you see up there, so it feels more like a voice in his head, which freaked Knuckles out. Though, at first, no one believed him, and he got angsty about them thinking he's nuts on top of stupid, but in the end of the episode day, he comes to accept and care about Tikal, who he affectionately refers to as "Ms. Voice in my Head."
