Happy-go-lucky: Kestrelfeather had been a happy kit from the get go, and she's had a bubbly personality ever since. She never got mad at her brothers (despite how much Littletrout used to pester her). There have been very few times where Kes was truly sad and despondent (usually due to a loss of a family member or clan mate).

Lazy: Despite how easily Kestrelfeather took up hunting, she never likes to go on patrols. She'd much rather sleep in and enjoy sunning her long coat in the few places in the marsh where sun actually peeks through the thick foliage. You often find her blending in with the elders.

Patient: Very good with kits and apprentices, Kes is often sought after if the kits need a quick kit-sitter. She will also travel to the training area with the apprentices and their mentors simply to help out and have fun.

Regretful: Ever since Littletrout died in such a sudden and freak accident, she's felt as if it was her fault. After all, she had been scheduled to go on hunting duty that day, but her and her brother had traded places so she could sleep in a bit more after staying up the previous night for a gathering.

History:
Kithood: Kestrelkit was born into pitch clan, in the early spring, to her mother Thickpelt (a grey and white long haired she-cat) and Birchstripe (a light brown-grey tabby with a bright white muzzle and underbelly), along with 2 other siblings. She along with his siblings were born healthy and strong, due to being overdue about a week, however their mother took longer to recover from birthing than usual, however after about 2 moons she had fully recovered. Kestrelkit was the middle child of her siblings and was average sized when she was born. Kestrelkit was given her name for the colors that grazed her pelt. She opened his eyes 7 days after birth, about average.

Apprenticeship: Kestrelpaw was announced an apprentice with her other siblings and, despite this usually not being done, was given her mother, Thickpelt, as her mentor. Unlike her brother Tangledpaw, she caught onto hunting very quickly, being able to catch most prey after about 7 dawns. She was particularly good at catching birds and climbing the prickly trees that grew throughout Pitch clan territory. It was usual apprentice stuff until about 7 moons into their training. Kestrelpaw woke up to her brother, Tangledpaw sadly waking her up about mid morning. Littlepaw had drowned trying to hunt for the clan. She was distraught. She had been meant to go that morning, but instead went to the gathering the previous night and had asked him to take her place. It was announced that Littlepaw had been given the name Littletrout and was to be honored as a warrior in star clan. 3 moons later her, her father, and a few other warriors were patrolling the territory when rats attacked. There must have been 3 rats to each cat. All cats made it out with nothing but a few bites and scratches. However, the next morning Birchstripe had come down with a cough and fever, and after a few days of no improvement, it was known that he was simply dying. Kestrelfeather and Tangledroot were named warriors, and the next day Birchstripe, Kes' father and mentor, died.

Adulthood: Kestrelfeather was downcast for about 7 dawns before starting to turn back to her regular happy self again. She found herself playing with the kits of the clan and becoming close friends with a majority of her clan mates. It wasn't for another 20 or so moons that her mother died as well. She wasn't as sad, as she knew her mother had been very old and had died comfortably. However, upon realizing how amazing it was to have had her mother for so long, she longed to have kits and a mate so she may experience the same happiness her mother had felt.

Elder: However, a disease struck her muscles, leading to the abrupt end of her warriorhood. What Two-legs refer to as ALS, struck the already rather weak warrior and confined her to camp. However, when her brother, Tangledroot, found Birchkit, she felt as if the kit could continue her family's legacy. She was happy to share stories with the little she-cat and is happily looking forward to her apprentice ceremony.

Death: A few days after little Birchpaw's ceremony, the old she-cat could feel herself growing weaker, and she had not been able to eat for some time now. She told the medicine cat to not warn Tangledstar of her oncoming death, knowing he had more important things to be worrying about. It was on this night that the elder fell asleep and never woke up again because her heart would simply not beat any longer.
