It is done
SO, I've been developing artdolls for a while and this is the crowning achievement so far
Size: 10 inches approx tail tip to horn - about 6 inch tall for the body and 4inch width top of head to base of foot. Fit's nicely in the hand ^^
About 14- 15 hours of work, I think? It's a development piece, as in I adjust my pattern or techinique if things aren't going quite right. This one was pretty straight forward. I've made dolls like this before, but this is the first time I've spent this much time getting the paintjob just right. Also the first time i've used fake eyelashes on a doll, and it looks fantastic XD
Materials - super soft fleese for the body (used to be called minky) and faux fur. The doll is stuffed with polyfil and some plastic pellets for weight. Head and feet are made from PLA - a biogradable thermoplastic and everything is handpainted.
All fully poseable. Ball and joint spine with covered wire for the legs. Solid little thing too. I'm not a fan of using plaster resin in my dolls as it makes thin things like horns and ears super brittle. One tiny knock and it just breaks D: PLA is super sturdy and while I don't recommend throwing these dolls around, they aren't likely to break if they're accidently dropped.
--So this little chap isn't for sale, since it's a test piece and I'm doing a few adjustments to the pattern for future dolls. Defiantly making more in the future. So watch this space ^^
